Mini-read: omicron from the perspective of people
So Omicron. I hesitated to do another covid/omicron read because it’s such a worn-out topic. But it is current events and appropriately the top three priority of this country (USA) and world, so here we go.
The deck is Illuminated Playing Cards by Caitlin Keegan, the spread is four-card progression with flanking clarification cards.

DEC 2021 - JAN 2022
King of Hearts, 4 of Spades, 6 of Diamonds
[King of Cups, 4 of Swords/Death, 6 of Pentacles]
Biden card appears on the heels of spiking cases and deaths. While we are still going through the cycles of destruction and renewal, the good news is, there is now more support and receptivity towards Biden’s policies.
JAN - FEB 2022
Jack of Clubs, 10 of Diamonds, 6 of Clubs
[Page of Wands, 10 of Pentacles, 6 of Wands/The Tower]
We are headed into new initiatives that are reflective of the previous read on covid - that new policies will be put in place to normalize the situation. Whatever it is, it greatly stabilizes our sense of security and ability to move on with our lives. There will be a drastic shift in the collective perspective so that we can all move forward.
FEB - MAR 2022
King of Clubs, 8 of Hearts, 9 of Hearts
[King of Wands/Magician, 8 of Cups, 9 of Cups]
This is a culmination of skill, ability, luck, and timing to transform the situation, even when many unknowns still lurk beneath the surface. There could very well be a scientific “win” of some sorts where we may be able to celebrate and feel a sense of relief. Enjoyment is on the table, and the caution being to not over-indulge.
MAR - APR 2022
Ace of Hearts, 2 of Spades, 2 of Diamonds
[Ace of Cups, 2 of Swords/Hanged Man, 2 of Pentacles/High Priestess]
We are truly relying on creativity and ingenuity to balance the unknown with going about our daily affairs. We would still be required to keep our PPE routines, but we are getting creative with it and making it work.
Overall, the entire spread focuses on “managing through creativity.” There isn’t a sense of the situation subsiding or going away, but reorienting ourselves to accept a new reality and finding ways to work with it that still allows us to enjoy our lives.
Again not something new from the previous reads on covid, but it’s good to know we are finding creativity in the situation and moving on regardless. May kindness and compassion reign. Namaste
